How do I send personal texts to my best boutique customers before a drop?

Sort your Shopify customer list by total spend, identify your top 20 buyers, and have staff send each one a personal text from their own phone mentioning a specific piece from the new drop.

“A personal text from someone who actually knows the customer is worth more than any email campaign. Ten minutes per person per drop. Total cost — zero.”
— Mia, BoutiquePulse Episode 17

Go to Shopify Admin, then Customers, and sort by amount spent from highest to lowest. Write down your top 20 customers by name. Assign 10 to each staff member — these become their VIP relationships to own. Before each drop, each staff member sends a personal text from their actual phone, not your business SMS platform, mentioning a specific product they think that customer would love.

The message should feel genuinely personal — something like "Hey Sarah, we just got in these earrings and I thought of you. Want me to set a pair aside before they go live?" Ten personal texts takes about fifteen minutes and costs nothing. If you're a solo owner, just take the top 10 customers and send all the texts yourself.

This is the one customer experience that large retailers structurally cannot replicate. A luxury e-commerce platform with millions of customers cannot send a personal text that says "I pulled this for you." But a boutique with 20 regulars can, and that personal outreach converts at rates mass marketing simply cannot match.
