Methodology & Sources

How BoutiquePulse decides what to publish, what to cite, and how to fact-check before an episode goes live.

Our four scout pipelines

Every BoutiquePulse episode is grounded in continuously-collected source material from four scout pipelines, each running on a fixed schedule and writing time-stamped findings to our content_items database:

Episode build & fact-check

Each episode draft is scored by Claude Sonnet 4 against the topic and audience profile, then passed through a persona-audit step that flags any unsupported claim or off-voice line. The final script is reviewed by a human editor before audio synthesis (ElevenLabs).

When we cite a number

If an episode says "Klaviyo email flows convert at 4–6x the rate of standard campaigns," that figure traces to either Klaviyo's published benchmark documentation or a scout-collected finding logged in our database with the source URL. We avoid round-number invention — if we don't have a citation, we don't say it.

Quoted community language

Every Jade Reality Feed quote on a podcast or in the Boutique Pulse Index is collected from a public source (Reddit thread, public boutique-owner forum, public Slack archive) and time-stamped. We anonymize usernames, never identify private boutique businesses without their consent, and cite the source platform.

AI co-host disclosure

Mia and Jade are AI-generated voices, not real individuals. Read the Mia bio and Jade bio for full disclosure. Their dialogue is generated by Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and OpenAI models, then voiced by ElevenLabs.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we log it on the corrections page with the date, the page, what we changed, and why.
